You know you're in Kabul when. . .

You know you're living in Kabul when your house shakes and you turn to one another and say, "Earthquake, bomb, helicopter, or dust storm?"  This happened twice last week.  One earthquake, one explosion (it was far, far away from our house, no worries).

Ah! Life in Kabul.  Sometimes it's so absurd we have to find something to laugh about.

Jules, could you tell it was dad that left the last message? I just finished "Ten Thousand Splendid Suns" - a powerful book that gave me some more insight into your world. Miss you bad!
