Sunday night we listed all of our big furniture on craigslist. It's Wednesday night and our apartment looks very different! All we have left to sell is my big comfy chair and the entertainment center! We'll have a garage sale on Saturday to take care of all the loose ends. And then we're on the road!
Awhile back I joked about not minding the dry heat and wondered if we were "being prepared for another desert location." I also talked about how when I consider moving, I always want to downsize and that all this stuff if just stuff. Well, I don't know if I'm eating my words or really just taking it to the proving grounds, but almost all of our stuff will be sold before this move and we are heading to a very desert location. On July 20th, Joey and I will be moving to Kabul, Afghanistan. We're really excited about this opportunity. I'll explain more of the ins and outs, the wheres and whens, in the next few days. For now, it's bedtime...our bed sold, I'm glad we have an air mattress.

julie, you can take it to the proving grounds like no one else. jeremy just bought me a book called 'Kabul Beauty School', i guess it is about a woman who moves to kabul to train people in beauty school? (a memoir). anyways, that was that. but i have been praying for you as you prepare to move. it seriously is not for the faint of heart to sell their possessions- not to mention move to afghanistan..
i love you guys, hope that the time in virginia is great- and cannot wait to see you dear friend.
With such an empty what else can you do but have an awesome dance party!
